Hoteles Bacalar

Hoteles Bacalar

So… you’re thinking about visiting Bacalar. You might want to visit hoteles en Bacalar top 7 page to take a look at the various accommodations here.

Bacalar hosts a wide variety of styles of lodging from luxurious… to primitive… to camping… to eco-resorts. Given a little time ahead to reserve, you will surely find what you need and almost all visitors — no matter how well or how poorly then plan ahead — enjoy their stay in Bacalar.

Bacalar has a long, interesting history and is a great central location for visiting the Costa Maya. Once you are settled, explore the lake and the town of Bacalar, visit the Fort of San Felipe, take a sail boat ride, rent a canoe, enjoy the sunrise over the lake or, at the right time, watch the beautiful full moon rise out of Laguna Bacalar’s beautiful waters.

When you want to explore further a field, there is much to discover quite nearby. Mahahual is only an hour and a little bit more away. Hurricane Dean restoration projects are in full swing and more and more of Mahahual is ready to welcome visitors. A new pedestrian esplanade directly along the beach is a wonderful new addition and provides a way for visitors to walk the length of the town — just yards from the beach and reed — without noise and hazards of vehicles.

Xcalak is just a tad further — almost 90 minutes. A magnificent National Park protects shore and reef and provides a spectacular opportunity for visitors to learn about the ecology of the area, snorkel and swim, dive, explore beaches, and fish — including a special catch-and-release fly fishing program provided by the Bahia Blanca Fishing Cooperative.

In either Mahahual or Xcalak, swim, snorkel, dive, boat, fish, and beachcomb for the day and then return the Laguna for a fresh water swim and a relaxing evening without the hoards of mosquitoes found along the coast.

If ruins are your thing, visit any of the dozens of Maya ruins within an hour or two of Bacalar. Best way is by rental car, although there are tour and transfer services that can get you and your party where you want to go and back.

Missing civilization? Visit Chetumal for items in the “mercado”, go shopping at the downtown stores, check out the Museum of Maya Culture, or catch a movie and take a stroll in the mall. If you’re in town for mid-day or afternoon, head to Calderitis for fresh seafood directly on the Bay of Chetumal. Good food, great prices, best view in the “big city” — what could be better?

Late in the day as the evening cool begins, take a walk along the Bahia de Chetumal to see the colors of the sky and the bay. Manatees are sometimes sighted north of the dock in the early evenings.

Sleepy Sam’s Bed & Breakfast: Fair Experience Hostel

Sleepy Sam’s Bed & Breakfast is the most preferred spot for backpackers. You don’t have to pay a lot of cash for staying in this hostel and it will certainly fulfill your expectations in the amount you spend for stay. I was allowed to keep my teacup pig with me during the stay and that was my major reason for choosing this place for my one-day trip.

I won’t say that the place was luxurious, but it was fairly acceptable for me. It is in the perfect location and you will get a good place to roam about in the surroundings. It is in the REAL City of Singapore and the outside area is very vibrant. You can get enjoyable experience by seeing the real nation around the place and this was my reason to feel good about the place. I easily got there and the receptionist was quite friendly. I relaxed a bit and then went out with my teacup piggy. The atmosphere was nice and I ate a sandwich with some coffee to feel good. The preparation was nice and the staff talked nicely to me.

Sleepy Sam’s Bed & Breakfast: Fair Experience Hostel

The concept of staying had private single rooms, dorm rooms and double rooms. I chose single room for the stay. I had privacy in my room and it was near to dorm room. It was a bit noisy at night, but this was acceptable from a hostel like this one. I was impressed to know about the special female dormitory section and there were single and double occupancies available in private rooms. However, the receptionist declined to show their rooms to us, when we asked them a visit to the hostel. It was a bit awkward and maybe they were under confident about the people staying in dorms. My overall experience in Sleepy Sam’s was just fine.

Sleepy Sam’s Bed & Breakfast Review

Sleepy Sam’s Hostel is located in an approachable place with all the amenities. You can choose this place if you are looking for cheap stay in Singapore for a single person. The hostel is quite hygienic with all the basic facilities. You will experience a good stay in this hostel and it will be easy to commute to all important places. The breakfast was nice and I took my teacup pig on the vacation. I preferred a single room, but I had to cross dormitory to get into my room. It was an awkward thing for me, but acceptable as they allowed by pet to stay with me.

Internet was available all the time and it was just working fine. I even ordered simple food for my pet and it was made obtainable. Room service was okay and I won’t rate it too high as there were a few delays in fulfilling my requirements. However, it was fine with me as I had my teacup pig with me. The room was smaller, but it was suffice for me and my pet. It was a bit noisy due to dormitory next to the room.

Sleepy Sam's Bed & Breakfast Review

I had a conception in my mind that Sleepy Sam’s rooms have bedbugs, but fortunately, I didn’t face such problem. Dorm rooms were unclean in the evening, but they cleaned it during daytime. Breakfast was fine. There were not so many items, but whatever available was good. There are many restaurants nearby and you will not be bored by staying at this place. You can roam around in the surrounding areas and feel great by interacting with people or taking your pet around. The room shared with my pet was alright, but I won’t go to the place again, if I am with my family as I felt that it was not a family place.
